REPAYMENT SCHEDULES
Repayment may be either with or without amortisation payments of
principal during the period of the loan or on maturity with interest
payments being made either on a quarterly, semi-annually or annually
basis and in certain cases, it can be that the total amount of the
principal and interest becomes due and payable on the agreed maturity
date of the issued and accepted instruments.
RATES OF INTEREST
This is subject to the currency, period, and the general rating
assessed on the borrower collateral or guarantees that are being
tendered as security. Such rates being calculated either on an agreed
percentage amount over the interbank or prime rate or alternatively on
a fixed rate throughout the period of the loan.
For long term loans, the rates of interest are generally geared
to the prevailing Bond Market Rates, for the currency involved or some
other pre-determined index, with a minimum amount in respect of any one
transaction of two million five hundred thousand ($2,500,000) US
Dollars, or the equivalent thereof in other major currencies.
